Do I need an appointment for the walk-in clinic?
No appointment is needed. Visit Speedvale Medical Clinic during clinic hours, or call (519) 822-0100 to ask about the current wait.
Can a pharmacist help with minor ailments?
Ontario pharmacists can assess and prescribe for 28 minor ailments. Contact our pharmacy team to confirm available services. Prescribing depends on your assessment. Pharmacy walk-ins are welcome, or you can book a pharmacist through MedEssist.
How do I refill a prescription?
Request a refill through our MedEssist platform, or call (519) 821-8300 and follow the automated prompts. For prescription transfers, delivery questions, or help with your medication, call our pharmacy team during opening hours.
Can I send you a photo of a new prescription?
Yes. Upload your prescription through MedEssist or bring it to the pharmacy. Please do not email prescriptions or personal health information.
Can I call after hours?
Yes. Our automated phone line at (519) 821-8300 accepts refill requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For prescription transfers, delivery questions, or help with your medication, call our pharmacy team during opening hours.
Is compounding covered by insurance?
Direct billing is available to most major drug plans, including eligible compounded prescriptions. Coverage and any amount you pay depend on your plan and medication.
Are the clinic and pharmacy in the same building?
Yes. Speedvale Medical Clinic and Speedvale Pharmacy & Compounding Centre are both at Speedvale Centre, 334 Speedvale Avenue East, Guelph, with free parking.
Is the family practice accepting new patients?
Yes. Dr. Hope Peeta-Imoudu is accepting new family practice patients. Call our clinic to register. Call to arrange a Meet & Greet.
What does the compounding pharmacy make?
The pharmacy prepares personalized medications such as capsules, creams, gels and lozenges when a commercial version does not fit a patient’s needs.
Does the pharmacy deliver prescriptions?
Prescription delivery is available. Coverage and fees depend on your location. Contact our pharmacy team for details.
What languages are spoken?
The clinic and pharmacy welcome patients in English, Arabic and French.
When is the pharmacy open?
The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
